Pick a time of day when your artwork has good, natural light, avoiding direct sun.
-
Launch your camera app, and check to be sure your flash is off.
-
If your phone camera has a 2x lens, select this option for photographing your artwork.
-
Orient your camera to correspond to the orientation of your artwork: if your artwork is vertical, please be sure to hold your phone vertically; and if a horizontal orientation, hold your phone horizontally.
-
Adjust your position so that your phone is centered on the artwork and is parallel to the picture plane. This ensures that your artwork will appear properly squared. Try not to tilt the phone or to position yourself at an angle.
-
Make sure the artwork fills most of the frame, but leave some slight margin on each side.
-
You are all set to shoot! Just make sure you are still when you press the shutter button!
